West End Street Photography is a photo blog by Paula E. Kirman, a photographer, writer, filmmaker, and musician in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Paula began taking long walks through the west end neighbourhoods of Parkview, Crestwood, and Laurier Heights (and surrounding areas) with a camera, capturing snapshots of every day life in Edmonton’s west end, along with streetscapes, skylines, and landmarks that define Edmonton’s west end.
Paula’s interest in hyperlocal media helps reach and connect community members. She edits the Parkview Community Newsletter (as a volunteer) and Boyle McCauley News in Edmonton’s northeast, and is currently doing some community media work in the Balwin and Belvedere neighbourhoods. Paula is also the former editor of the Stony Plain Road and Area News Network (SPANN) published by the Stony Plain Road and Area Business Association.
To reach Paula, you can send her an email, or connect with her on social media (@apaulagetics on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook).
